How can you make your next eye exam even more productive? In order for us to guarantee that your exam is thorough and productive, there are several facts we'll need to know.
It's of great importance that you keep us updated on any current health conditions or problems you are experiencing because eyes are often vulnerable to changes in your body. What are some things we'd need to know about? Here are a few examples: diabetes, pregnancy, high blood pressure or allergies.
Habits like drinking or smoking can have a poor effect on vision, so if these are a part of your lifestyle, tell us about it. Additionally, we'll examine what you're actually using your eyes for. Do you work at a computer a lot? Being informed of these facts can help us to figure out your vision correction needs.
And if there are any eye diseases that effect anyone in your family, it's important to let us know, because a few of them are hereditary. Having an understanding of the conditions you might be susceptible to will help us to keep an eye out for and keep track of any warning signs.
Let us know if you observe anything odd about your eyes and vision including blurriness, fatigue, flashes of light, spots and double vision. We will figure out what's behind the symptom, and suggest the best possible treatment plan. Remember to take your newest pair of glasses with you when you see us; even if you normally wear contact lenses, because they will give us useful information. So don't forget all this when you come for your exam. Together, we'll figure out how to rectify whatever issue you may be having!
